We are an all female BCS team from Lake James, Nebo, NC. We have been in existence since 2009, got our boat in 2010, and we’re still paddling! We use dragon boating to not only support cancer survivors, but to inspire other members o f the community to paddle mental and physical health and well being. Our vision is to inspire, support and encourage survivors of cancer and to triumph over the disease. We are a 501(c)3 organization, and we have a fall race on Lake James to rise funds for women who cannot afford a mammogram. This year we would love to see you at Lake James on October 1. www.healingdragonsoflakejames.org
A bunch of tour guides that want to make a difference.
Located in Jacksonville, FL our current roster boasts 41 members and we are continuing to grow. Most of our membership has been together for several years but we have added many new paddlers. We are a competitive team participating in USDBF, PanAm and GWN sponsored events. Our ‘newer’ paddlers enjoy more local festivals. Our members range in age from 29 to 74, equally divided between the sexes and have fun competing with and against each other at races and practices. Our coaching staff brings many years of experience to the boat as well.
Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club is a 501(c)(3) that ‘changes lives through paddling’ on Lake Lanier, Georgia. LCKC has kept the 1996 Olympic spirit alive with programs for youth, adults, special olympics paddlers and more! Recently the club was home to 2020(1) Tokyo Olympic Gold Medalist Nevin Harrison, and has been the training ground for many Dragon Boat national team paddlers. Rebuilding due to 2020, the Dragon Boat team racing here today is a mixture of BCS paddlers, a few youth and mostly adults…nothing like we brought to this wonderful event in 2019.
Organized Chaos, founded in 2010, is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to increase public awareness of the amateur sport of Dragon Boating, to promote Dragon Boating for health and recreational benefits and to educate paddlers through practice and participation in paddling competitions. Organized Chaos also supports and competes in other paddling disciplines which include Outrigger canoes (OC1, OC2, OC6), paddleboard and kayaks. When not on the water, Organized Chaos supports local charities through volunteering and financial support which include protecting our local waterways, team building events and festivals for non-profits and local businesses.
The mission of Charlotte Dragon Boat Association is to organize and develop this cross-cultural, environmentally friendly recreational and competitive sport, i.e., the Dragon Boat racing, as a means to promote diversity, fitness, education and community outreach opportunity for all citizens in the Charlotte region
We are a team made up of cancer survivors and those who have lost someone near and dear to us. We paddle in support of and in memory of them. Adversity makes us stronger! Thank you for your donations to help our local cancer survivor community!
We are a group made of members of St Helena’s, Anglican Church in Beaufort and friends.
Coosaw Point neighborhood residents using our time, energy and effort to support cancer patients and survivors in Beaufort County. Thank you to Forino Company for sponsoring our Dragonboat Race Team! We hope the other Beaufort County neighborhoods will accept our challenge to join us.
We are a senior team of senior Breast Cancer Survivors and supporters that enjoy paddling out of Safety Harbor at the Reserve in South Carolina. Our mission is to promote positive, emotional, spiritual and physical well being through Dragon Boat. By celebrating each victory, we “awake the dragon within” with encouragement, inspiration, hope, and camaraderie!
