Raceday is a mere 22 days away!  We are ecstatic to have 28 teams (our goal)!

Make sure you’re getting all your paddlers registered so they can complete the online waiver during the process.  Advise them to notify you when they register so you know who’s on your roster.  An ideal team would have 20, plus a few additional paddlers, but 16 is definitely the minimum for paddlers in each race.  Remember you must also have a drummer to actively drum during the race.  For Community teams, there must be a minimum of 8 female paddlers in each heat.

Donate! Donate! Donate!  Let’s not forget the purpose of Raceday!  This is DBB’s major Fundraiser to fulfill our Mission, so once a paddler’s registered they’ll have their own “My Fundraising Page”.  They can solicit/post donations & share on Facebook.  Credit card donations are processed immediately; checks should be mailed to Dragonboat Beaufort, PO Box 213, Beaufort, 29901 & must be received BEFORE they can be processed/cleared in the system & appear on the fundraising page.

As promised, attached you’ll find the Practice Schedule.  Follow the directions, email your choices to me ASAP & be sure I receive NO LATER THAN JUNE 4TH so everyone can be notified of their Team time slot(s).

Finally, we know there have been challenges to the new Raceday website & we are truly sorry for the inconvenience.  Thank you all for persevering!  If your rosters have duplicates or need tweaking let us know & we should be able to clean them up.

Also attached is a general map of Waterfront Park.  In future Updates we’ll have a parking map & more details included.
