Update 2

Ahoy Dragonboat Captains !!
Things are moving right along & we’re fast approaching Raceday!  Check out the Leader Board listed on the Teams page…. you definitely want to see your name there!  Listed are the top fundraising teams as well as individuals.
So now it’s time to fill your boats, get your paddlers signed up, add your TEAM BIO (very important — it’s what our Raceday announcer will share about you with all the spectators) & post all your fundraising $$’s.  Please encourage your paddlers to post funds they raise to their personal page under “My Account”.  Credit card donations will be reflected immediately, while checks need to reach us & then be cleared before seen in the paddler’s $$ total.  HOWEVER, anything that’s actually received in the system (a completed order) will generate an email to the person whose email is attached to the donation, stating their order has been received.
Captains, you can create or edit your Team Bio on your page in “My Account” by scrolling to “Edit My Team Bio”.  You can also upload team photos here & team members can edit their own individual bios in the same way.  When fundraising $$’s are entered by anyone, please instruct your folks to “Proceed to Checkout” & “Place Order” to complete the process; then look for the confirmation email as described above.
I’m sure everyone’s interested in the PRACTICE SCHEDULE which you’ll receive by June 1st.  Just like last year, DBB will conduct practices the weekends of June 8th & 15th; High Five, our vendor will have their practices June 19th, 20th & 21st.  Everyone should be able to get in 2 practices.  Also, as in the past, you’ll email me with your 1st & 2nd choices once you receive the schedule.
Lastly, we are aware there’s an issue on the website related to your being notified whenever someone joins your team.  We are sorry for that inconvenience; our Webmaster is working on that, but in the meantime, please instruct your paddlers to notify you when they sign up.
Stay tuned for actual Raceday details in future Updates.  And going forward the Captains’ Updates (past & present) will be posted on the website in the “Blog” section.
