I’m a born and raised Beaufortonian. I have raced in Dragon boat for the past 3ish years. This charity is very important for the good work that it does for the people fighting Cancer. It provides much needed funding for treatments, transportation, and everyday living expenses for those fighting their battle. My older Brother is a cancer survivor, and I do this in his honor. He is a volunteer for Friends of Hunting Island and helps watch over the Sea turtle nests. The crew nick named him “Momma Buddy”. So many of our cancer survivors like my brother make a powerful impact in our community. Let’s help them continue to do so. Paddles up!
