Leadership Beaufort Alumni is comprised of members who have participated in the Leadership Beaufort Program. Each year, a select group of local leaders learn not only what is going on but how to make a difference in their community. The program builds community trustee leadership through an in-depth view of cultural, economic, historic, social, educational, environmental and government resources. As Alumni we look forward to supporting Dragon Boat Beaufort and raising money to support those in our community!

F3 stands for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith. F3 is a national network of free, peer-lead workouts for men across all 50 states. F3’s mission is to “plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men.”
Locally, we have workout locations at Beaufort waterfront, Blufton, and Hilton Head and approx 40 locations in Charleston and Summerville.
F3 starts with fitness. That’s the thing that brings all of us in. But it’s really a leadership group. F3 is about forcing yourself to do hard things that ultimately empower you in all areas of life. In F3, we believe individuals become who they hang around with. If you’re hanging around guys who are strong, caring, and smart individuals, that’s who you become. F3 is one of those organizations that helps men become a better version of who they were meant to be. Come join us!
Derby City Dragons
The Derby City Dragons are Louisville, Kentucky’s first Dragon Boat Racing Team. We are proud to be part of the 300+ Breast Cancer Survivor’s Dragon Boat Racing Teams worldwide.
Our team was founded in April of 2013. The Derby City Dragons are a team that welcomes Breast Cancer Survivor’s regardless of age, fitness level, or previous experience. We are 57 members strong and growing, we range between 36 to 84 years old.
We share a zest for fun, life, health, sportsmanship, and promise that members will build new lifelong friendships as they “awaken the Dragon within themselves”.
As we celebrate our 10th Anniversary, we continue to grow as Breast Cancer Survivor’s, as a team, as individuals, support for each other, and as inspiration to those around us in different stages in their cancer journey.
Healing Dragons of Charlotte
The Healing Dragons Charlotte is a competitive dragon boat team launched in 2009, with a focus on cancer survivorship. We are mothers, daughters, fathers, sons, family, and friends with a common vision to provide a restorative path for cancer survivors and supporters to achieve emotional and physical wellness. In 2018 we were fortunate enough to send our breast cancer survivors to Florence, Italy to participate in the IBCPC Participatory Dragon Boat Festival.
BMH Spittin’ Fireballs
The Spittin’ Fireballs are Beaufort Memorial Hospital Employees dedicated to supporting charitable organizations in Beaufort County to improve the health of our community.

Bluffton Paddle Club – Pluff
The Bluffton Paddle Club is a local not for profit social-recreational club that brings people together on the water. We get together monthly to explore the local waterways. When we are not paddling we work to give back to the community any way we can. This will be our second year at Beaufort Dragon Boat. We are looking forward to raising funds for a good cause and competing against the other teams!
Awakened Dragons
The Awakened Dragons is a composite team of ALL cancer survivors who hail from the Low Country of SC from Myrtle Beach north to Edisto Island south! We represent 2 dragon boat clubs; Dragon Boat at the Beach based in Pawley’s Island and Dragon Boat Charleston. These spunky ladies and men thrive on the sea breezes, dolphins and waters of the Ashley River in Charleston, the Waccamaw river near Pawley’s Island and the Black River near Georgetown. We cherish the camaraderie of fellow survivors as we all celebrate a life that is full of strength, vibrant health and fun!
We are excited to join forces to support our sisters and brothers in Beaufort at their festival this year.
Orange Zone
This is the Orange Zone’s third year competing in Dragonboat Beaufort’s Race Day! We are excited to turn last year’s Bronze medal in our division into a Gold Medal!!! Orangetheory is a total-body group workout that combines science, coaching and technology to guarantee maximum results from the inside out. It is heart rate-based interval training, where you train through 5 heart rate zones designed to charge your metabolism for MORE caloric afterburn, MORE results, and MORE confidence, all to deliver you MORE LIFE. Paddles up for MORE LIFE!!!
